Honda Civic 5-door hatchback is an other version of the 2nd Gen Honda Civic series produced in year 1981, 1982, 1983. The 2nd generation Civic was launched in 1980. In the second generation, in addition to changing its shape to be larger with a 2,250 mm wheelbase, Honda also complements the choice of variants. The Civic, known as Excellent in Indonesia, is also present for the first time in the form of a sedan, which complements the 3 and 5-door hatchback, and station wagon. The engine is also available in a choice of 1,300 and 1,500 cc. Both of these engines still maintain improved CVCC technology, and still make this car fuel efficient.

For this generation, the brand introduces two new Civic variants - Fuel Economy (FE) and for the first time there is also a more sporty variant Sport (S), called the Civic S in the form of a 3-door hatchback, in 1983. This car is equipped with a tougher suspension, stabilized rear bar, and Michelin-made tires. Interestingly, for some markets, the Civic S uses an EN4 engine with a capacity of 1,334 cc with a double carburetor, or also known as a two barrel carburetor.
